I agree with you, however, there are problems on both sides. Neither is an appealing candidate to the moderates in the middle.

I will control the border, reduce government by 4% over my 4 years, defer to most state governments and the elected officials as to how they want to govern, and stay out of your lives. I will be the invisible President minus any foreign government official whose rear parts I may need to kick or scare.

I am as conservative as the next guy, but I have known Germ for longer than I care to admit. He speaks the truth when it comes to Trump. Trump has been the kiss of death for several candidates. He has become the far right poster child and a loose cannon with a lot of baggage that is crippling our party. Germ is a moderate that isn't afraid to point out hypocrisies on both sides. I have debated him at length in the past both online and offline. He can follow up his positions with substance. Honestly, if we are not willing to hear the criticisms, then we are a broken society. He and I will likely never agree on some topics, but he and moderates like him bring some balance to the table and I respect that. Wearing blinders is not going to get us where we need to go, we will continue to wander in circles. In my opinion, a third party candidate with a moderate platform and the ability to listen to both sides could go a long ways in bringing this Country out of the liberal quagmire we have slipped into. I for one, hope he sticks around and continues to splash cold water in our face to keep us on our toes.

I agree, and I think that was by design. I honestly believe we have the Obama debacle to thank for that. We were so far ahead of where we are now on race and gender before he started the great divide. It's all in the handbook for how to divide a nation, and we fell for it hook-line-and-sinker.
I have issues with government control over family decisions. I have issues with immigration laws that allows one just to walk up to the border and ask for asylum. Why not just allow them to apply from where they currently live. If they approved come on down, if not then have a nice day. Simple solutions to issues, no one has the guts to intact them. Look at San Francisco, homeless issues for last decades, convention comes to town and poof, streets cleaned. The same group that wants prayer in schools, ***** about providing a meal to those same kids, it baffles me. Same group that chants for women’s rights, let’s boys compete wirh girls, and then rewards the boys when they win. The same people who think it’s okay for a girl to share a locker room with a boy and undress is okay, would not let their child do so. Look at Sota and edibles, the conservatives don’t want weed and those items for sale, because they think Sota is to dumb to use them. Yet here’s Sota finding relief with them and using them responsibly. We could go back and forth on the dumb stuff each side does, I just wanna someone to go, you know let’s find some common ground and work from there. What that is anymore I have no idea.
