And then the dentist had to go into hiding, so there's that.

True, but still, I would rather be the dentist than the lion in that particular transaction.

How can anyone think what the Dems were doing was OK.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision,” Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.)

Trying to add all kinds of things that were not pertaining to fighting the pandemic and helping the economy.

To put it mildly......... I'm disgusted by it.

Article I read this morning said the bill text hadn't been released yet.

How many here are actually getting a check?

I see if your family makes over 198,000 it's a nothing burger.

150,000 and below get the full amount.

1200.00 for 75,000 less for one person and 2400.00 for a couple of 150,000 or less.

    500.00 per kid

I have seen parts of in the news.

The takeaways were an oversight board for the slush fund and 600.00 more per week for unemployment for four months.

Did they argue for two days for that?

This was the earlier version of the bill, not sure that it still exists or what the numbers are.

I'm reading those numbers are still the same, but I believe it caps at family of 4 regardless of how many kids, so $2900 max. Before taxes of course.

I qualify, I'm still working and likely working 16 hours OT every week for the foreseeable future.

Not really sure how we will be affected in the medium to long range though, haven't really heard anything being affected in the mining industries, probably depends on how many truck orders get cancelled that have already been placed.
