So why are ppl not outraged a military jet was ejected from in flight over land where they had zero clue as to how many on the ground could have been killed. What is their training?
What do you think the pilot should do? Just ride it out to make sure the aircraft doesn't kill anyone else, thereby killing himself. Their training is to eject when there is no chance of recovering the aircraft. I get what you're saying, but just wonder what you think should happen
Gee I don't know at a sign of trouble head toward water or deep forest. How far did that jet travel before it crashed? To your point let's explore that. Military personnel are asked to run into war being shot at and possibly blown up. KILLED to " protect citizens "a half a world away. They do so willingly Fireman run into burning buildings to save people willing. To save ppl knowing they could and many have died. Police officers don their uniforms and head to the streets everyday. On duty knowing they have a high likely hood of not coming home. They do this to protect the public interest. So to your question, yes yes I do expect their training and decisions to reflect those type of values.
If you are in your car and suddenly cannot steer it, stop it or control it, would you "eject" safely, or just sit there hoping it doesn't hit anything or harm anyone? Yes they are trained to fight and even lose their life doing that. That is a bad analogy here. If you cannot control the aircraft, why not get out?
Is that what they determined happened. Zero control on all systems? In that case there is an of course answer there. Then again investigations tend to reveal additional information...months/years later.
I dont think anyne knows what happened. Class A mishaps are always investigated. You seemed to imply the pilot negligently ejected, without concern for collateral damage and wanted to know why folks aren't outraged. I simply said the sop for ejection is an aircraft in an unrecoverable state. IF he ejected unnecessarily, yeah have all the outrage you can handle and I'll be right there with you. I just doubt pilot ejected for no reason in a very very expensive military asset, especially knowing the uncontrolled 80 million dollar jet might kill some civilians.
Btw...a million things could've led to this jet to malfunction at speed most folks, including me, cannot comprehend. Pilot might have had seconds to make a decision. Glide path for an f35 isn't much and it's a single engine jet, one of many knocks on it. Apparently it has been found and I haven't heard reports of injuries or damage to civilians nor structures. So...mental exercise over for me. Hopefully all involved are safe. Either way that pilot is in for a long, uncomfortable investigation and us tax payers are down 1 advanced fighter jet.

The highly trained pilot who has reaction skills that would baffle most on this forum and has trained for years to operate a rocket strapped to his back definitely wanted to eject and kill civilians. Listen I never accused him I have no conspiracy theories I made a simple statement and asked a question. There was zero concern mentioned on the obvious public danger they miraculously avoided. Just like I asked in the ,we lost jet can you help us find it, country wide embarrassment. Yes a stealth fight made to be not detectable. This said why would they not have a system inplace for limited detection in such cases. Just questions. When the US military consistently, as of late, show themselves to be incompetent for the world to see, I question things
I will also question training and compantenacy in Biden military. How long had this pilot been in service? Let's be honest here do you truly believe the vetting and training of past personel is what it is today? They managed to clean house when Biden people took over. That's just plain ole documented.
