Open carry became constitutional carry in 2021 so long as you were outside your county of residence. This update to remove the conceal carry permit requirement in-state for residents is the last step to constitutional carry.
Idaho moved to constitutional carry several years ago, want to say it was 2016 or so. There aren't more people running around carrying, at least open carrying anyway, and there hasn't been a change in shootings. There was lots of speculation by the opposition that it would cause shootings to skyrocket, people would now be armed and thus arguments that escalated to fist fights would turn into shootouts. Instead, absolutely nothing changed. Nothing. Hope it goes the same there.

For the law-abiding citizens, I imagine it will stay pretty much the same. Overtime, I hope it will give me a reason to stop calling Little Rock Little Chicago. The violence in this city, for a city its size, is disgusting. A murder a day is the Little Rock way.

We had a teen run into a 711 and point a gun at an Afghani clerk. Without hesitation the clerk hit him in the head with a wooden stick. The teen ran out of the store. We got a K9 and began tracking. We found the kid unconscious not 20 yards behind the store. LOL
