I'm watching this closely. The wife and I do not need a stimulus check but will give it to our 2 employees if we get one.
I love being strongly on one side but that's a tough one. The only function of the government should be to govern. Yet if they forced the hand then wouldn't that make them libel?
Feel like there's probably some sort of loophole since a state of emergency was announced. But who knows? The weather is shutting us down more than the virus, so regardless woulda been sitting at home not working. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
We have a meeting at lunch time to decide what we will do. We have many, many multi $ shipments sitting on the dock. Do we ship risking the freight might not be deliverable, then lost. We are looking at way more than the employees as far as preserving cash flow and supply chain.
I agree that selling because they were privy to insider info is BS.... but considering the late January timing of their sales, I dunno if they sold it because of insider info as it was common knowledge that the virus was taking off in china big time and I think everybody knows that whenever china starts admitting something is a problem, whatever it is almost certainly a whole lot worse than what they are saying. I dunno exactly when the politicians sold their stock other than it was late January, but I know that I sold a bunch of mine on Jan 21. I don't have any type of insider government info, I just remember seeing several things over the weekend about china having some sort of SARS like virus and that it was spreading rapidly. At the time I was just thinking stocks would go down a bit once people started figuring out that whatever was going on it was definitely worse than china had been telling everyone and when that happened I would be able to buy some stocks on the cheap then a few weeks later china would get it under control and things would go back up. I never expected that it would be anything like this but I got lucky I guess. I don't have millions in the stock market so I definitely didn't sell nearly as much as they did in actual dollar amounts but I probably sold at least as much as they did percentage wise. They are scumbag politicians so I would expect no less than trading on insider info, but on the other hand, if I had made the same exact decisions that I made as a private citizen but I was also a politician then I would've been on the same list as they are.
Watching this press conference and some of these questions out of the reporter pool are ridiculous. Trump's having none of the shenanigans.
Force majur + states of emergency from legal / liability perspective. Should they? ... Well that's a conversation for debate.
They are scum. They aren't subject to the SEC regs like we are. I've always contended that should change. Glad the media ferreted this out.
He also warned some doners in a small gathering and pretty much said this was going to be bad. That was Feb 27th the same day our President stated the virus would just "disappear"
