You might want to watch his interview about the song. Lol Also the wokeness crowd is who I blame, I don’t knock the guy for the song. My knock is he’s full of **** and a fraud. He’s going to make big bucks off it and he’s got plenty of fish on both sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Which interview are you referring to? I’d like to see it myself so I can “maybe” understand where your coming from in this. The only interview I could find is the one where he’s describing how he felt when he first “heard” the song. It was written by someone else and they sent their recording to him. He just recorded it and released it. I don’t really like the guy either, but him releasing that song doesn’t make him a fraud.
Wait, wouldn't Jason believing in the lyrics make it viable as a belief structure? IE singing a song about a lost love etc. I think it's a meh song but love and agree with the message. It's not opportunistic it's TOPICAL. Germ is a troll and will not get any traction on this from me. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Here "We"? He's not from a small town but knows how to tap into the wokeness to make a buck. Perhaps he should have concerts in small towns to show his support, he was just in Cincinnati filling his wallet. If he's not about money why not have a few concerts in a small town, bring the community together, you know like his song. How many concerts has he had in small towns? Let's see how many small towns he supports on tour COLUMBIA, MD Nope HERSHEY, PA Nope MANSFIELD, MA Nope HARTFORD, CT Nope CHARLESTON, SC Nope ATLANTA, GA Nope TUSCALOOSA, AL Nope NASHVILLE, TN Nope Here are the rest and not one supports a small town, hey give me those big city venues. That's why I think he's a fraud, he's just trying to make a buck, you know what he has every right to do so. https://www.jasonaldean.com/tour/
Okay Gary, so let’s say he grew up in a town of 300,000 - 400,000 like you said. Again, where did he actually say he lived in a small town? He didn’t. In that statement he refers to growing up having a feeling of community where neighbors look out for each other. That happens a lot in suburban areas. He doesn’t have to actually be from a small town to know what having good neighbors is all about. You haven’t provided any evidence to support your claim that he’s a fraud. You either simply don’t like the guy for some reason (maybe it’s because he’s a popular, successful “country music” singer) or you’re just trying to play the “devil’s advocate”, which is something I’m convinced you do much, if not most of the time.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe someone earlier referenced him being from a town of 300,000. Well, that is a small town compared to major metropolitan areas like LA, Portland, OR, DFW (all places I have lived during my younger days) not to mention places like San Francisco, Memphis, Nashville, Tampa, Miami, Milwaukie, Detroit, Seattle, San Deigo, Kansas City, Denver; all places I have visited. All the cities and surrounding areas have populations in the millions. Currently, I reside in a little city of around 220,000 that acts like it is a big town. As to why he performs in big cities, because he can, because people from small towns will go to the big cities for his concert because they like his music. Ask those same people if they would do that for Cardi B or whoever the current pop culture sensation is. For small town people, the problem isn't the size of the city, its that troubles that come with a big city that are not worth it except for special occasions. FTR, I don't care for country music, beyond Charlie Daniel's Devil went down to Georgia and Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire and Empire of Dirt I couldn't tell you one country music song from another. Like the song, don't like the song, I don't care. It is a song, silly thing to argue about.
Sweet Baby Jesus! Of course his concert locations are held in major metropolitan venues. That’s his job. You know, kind of the same thing every other musical artist in the history of forever has done once they became famous.
Just out of curiosity I looked up the population of Macon, GA. Macon, GA is located in Bibb County. The whole county has a population 157,886. While 97,000 is a big town to me, it’s still a pretty small town.
okay then, you see it your way and I respect that. He currently lives in Nashville Tenn, which is not a small town. Hey he loves them I guess
There are plenty of big "areas" that have country folks. Prior to moving here I lived in a county of about 500k, and maybe 25% was rural to semi rural and had been since forever. Farms. Woods. Much different than the rest of the county. Are those "small town" folks or are they just frauds?
The agenda drives the narrative. Agenda driven BS is all the news is about.. I believe my own eyes and and common sense. If it looks like **** and smells like ****... Pretty good chance it is!
You said above in the list of towns that Nashville was a small town and in your second post Nashville is not a small town. Your slipping
What a sell out a country artist moving to Nashville, you know the country capital of the world, how sickening.
So what is a big city then and what is a small town? My guess is will see him there again at the end of his career.
Artists don't make money on their music. They do so by touring. Jason has only been a bigger name in the past few years since a duet with Miranda. Even now he is mid to high B level. You just hate all things even slightly right. So please go troll elsewhere. Also you don't have to live in a small town to have a small town( ie community based) mentality. Jason, like many of not all celebs have many homes in a variety of locations. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
