Agreed. Half the junk out there if not more is just semantics to flip a point in order to find some justification method for someone to be offended. A lot of this mess comes out of colleges right now. I'm 29, so fairly fresh out and towards the latter half of my time spent was observing professors narrating how to make a problem where there wasn't one simply by looking way too far into the words a person used to make a statement. I think people are too bored and shielded from true problems to work (together) on and instead they lean towards the fear mongering short clips and fuel their own misguided angst. Just my 2 cents.
Read an article today where China is producing approx 30% of greenhouse gas emissions based on trying to fully industrialize their country. Should rapidly reduce over next 20 yrs. Also read another article on solar flares being the most intense and numerous in over 22 years....you think that may have something to do with our mini heat waves and maybe not gas emissions? Yeah. No one even attempts to report that.

This may or may not surprise you, at 65 now I can tell you it started way back when I was in college at 19. It actually had steam in most English type classes. To say I didn't handle the BS back then any better than I would now is simplistic. Had a proff. tell me I made a perfect paper but he was refusing it. Excuse me?! Was told I did everything he requested the paper was correct but in his personal opinion the rest of the students would not be able to relate to the subject matter. I repeated back to him what he said and asked if I understood him. Yes. Well I then leaned over his desk sliding the paper toward him and said he needed to shove it so far up his a$$ it would never see the light of day again. Then walked out. Needless to say that cost me $500 and having to take a different English class.
