Weird, isn't it? They use the term to refer to themselves, but if I use it it's derogatory, insulting, bigoted and homophobic and that's why it's banned. I'm not the one who put it on the list, by the way.
You know that's the same situation with the N word. My best friend and first roomy used that word with her same race friends and boy friend , whom was also a good friend of mine . I asked them why is it exceptable to use to each other but if I used it in the same tenor as they do I'd be racist. Because I'm white and also " blks live in the country and N's live in the city". I picked my jaw off the floor and said OK ....hhhmmm..lol Also another social ...hhhmmm Sister is a lesbian, she told me one day back in early 80's most lesbians find gay men's life style as obscene and nasty...hhhmm OK...lol

This morning I sat down to watch some cartoons with my boy while drinking coffee. He likes transformers so we watched some from steaming. The first 2 episodes were cool and I enjoyed just doing something he likes. We get to a 3rd episode and it was about she/they/binary crap. I couldn’t believe it! Told him we watched enough tv and shut it off. Went to google and found the show(Transformers Earthspark) was being talked of and my ears weren’t deceiving me. This is what parents are up against. I had no clue until I luckily sat down to watch with him.
