BTW To EVERY SINGLE official and politiacian saying go back to your homes. Should be forced to rent a house or two, in that area and within a mile or two of the area for at least 6 mos.
Let me ask the this question RR Is that regulation of having controlled breaks for trains carts a good safety measure? Would you end it ?
Biden is such a dumb ass. I'LL say it again blah, blah blah with high capacity clips,blah,blah,blah.. Did I miss something? Every video I viewed of the shooter showed a hand gun not a long gun
Or maybe rail inspectors. Rail road companies having to do equipment replacements due to structural integrity. Not relying on China for steel production.
Firstly, I'm not an engineer with enough knowledge about the subject to say if it is good, bad or whatever. Secondly, that was never my point in replying to you.
One does not have to be an engineer to answer the question, it's pretty simple. I am headed to Lansing Friday to ask two very simple questions 1. The shooter had a 911 wellness call a week before the shooting, was that completed, and did the police make contact with him? 2. The door he entered seems to be a back/side door that was unlocked, why? I have no idea if questions 1 or 2 would we have a different outcome at MSU, but I am going to ask and keep asking until I get answers from someone. While Trump got rid of the regulation, Biden did nothing to restore it. I am not an engineer but it seems reasonable to have controlled breaking on hazardous cargo from trains, just like having a side door locked on campus. I am not sitting around anymore, I only got around 25 years left on this rock, I am going to do something
Is it more important to regulate the how (e.g. Brake sensors) they're operating safely (or not) v the outcome? To RR's point, if the RR had to bear All remediation costs, property damage, health costs, and a big fine (like certain regulated industries must bear), would you achieve the same end with less gov regulation and more industry innovation? Kinda like business requirements...they need to describe 'the what', but technologys teams design and solve 'how' within frameworks/architecture standard, budget, etc...
Typical police wellness call goes like this...."yes can you pls go check on Johnny he has been acting weird..." No concrete info on what "weird" means. Cops show up and either make contact or don't. If they do make contact and Johnny refuses to talk or isn't making suicidal/ homicidal statements and refuses to seek mental health services even with a police ride then there isn't a darn thing that can be done. Cops note it in computer log that contact was made or not. Or a caller calls in and says, "Johnny has threatened to kill everyone". Ok cool then everyone believes the cops can just go hunt down Johnny and end it. Wrong in most instances. Where is the proof Johnny said those things. If you don't have proof then the citizen will have to go swear out an emergency custody order for Johnny and if they don't then nothing happens...unless you want an overbearing government official to take away someone's liberty based on hearsay. So people want Cops to solve all this crap. Not gonna happen, not even close.

imagine what else is dying downwind and within the local streams and rivers, 'coons, mink, muskrats, various small game, deer, birds, etc. ... not to mention all the effected soil of farmers .... run when you here the phrase "I'm from the gvmnt and I'm here to help" ..... smh ...
A better question would be; if he had a known mental illness that leads to violent tendencies, why is he not in professional mental health institution receiving treatment until he can be deemed to be no longer a threat to himself or innocent people?
Here is one part of your question. Weak prosecutors. Other part is...what is the threshold to not allow someone to own a firearm? How about the 50 plus million Americans who take mental health meds bc of mood swings? Are they now ineligible to own a gun?
Another great question, My thought has always been if you can't control your mental health without medication then your Doctor should make that decision, if the doctors deem you unfit to own a gun, then you don't get to own one.. Thank you I just did a freedom of information pull request on him.
Looks like the prosecutor is trying to get out in front of this one https://pa.ingham.org/courts_and_sheriff/prosecuting_attorney/
