44 was President. Just like 45, he had plenary authority to declass anything and everything at anytime while in office. Veeps (and lo and behold, Secretaries of State) have -0- declass authority. And there is no statutory 'Oops' clause when it comes to illegal possession of classified material. Well, not for Republicans, anyway. Those docs were physically moved illegally at least 2x- when they were removed from whatever SCIF or classified structure where they were produced in or prior to 2016 to an unknown location, then to Brandon's office at Penn in 2017/2018 (he didn't have one there prior to then.) Oh, and Penn has received over $50 million in endowments from China/CCP entities since 2016- the majority of which were 'donated' after 2020. Huh. Total (10%) coincidence (for the Big Guy) I am sure.
also - within 24hrs of the MaL raid, WaPo and I think NYTs were reporting leaked info and pics of what the docs supposedly contained- TSSCI stuff, nuclear info, yadda yadda. These Penn docs were allegedly discovered and turned over to the DOJ on Nov 2 2023 - and we knew nothing about it until this week, and still no leaks as to what they allegedly contained other than the same TSSCI level classification. Two full months after the fact; rather than less than 24 hours. Lack of information is in itself information.
Another thing I was just thinking about. They needed to get this info out before the real kick off to the 2024 election campaign trail and before Trump was potentially charged with possessing classified docs. Because if Trump were ever to be charged and convicted them so would old Biden. Precedent set that Dems couldn't squirm out from. So this is perfect timing. Good work deep operatives in the bureaucracy and higher end appointed positions to release this after the fall elections and far enough in advance to avoid possible Biden being charged and allowing for a smooth Presidential campaign for the Dems. Collusion amongst our separation of powers is never more evident.

Watters is reporting (no idea of his sources) that these are docs are related to Brandon's last week in office, which he spent in Ukraine getting the prosecutor fired for investigating his son...then later bragged about on TV.
