They'll nail ya for what he's talking bout here and if you're goin through and the light turns yellow they'll get ya too. Alot of the lights are at on and off ramps for a four lane that goes through so takes little bit to get through them anyway. I agree mostly with your comments, there are plenty of dumb asses that go too far with it, they want attention, not the "rights". I don;t agree with licensing/permitting etc, but I understand there is a need to filter some people out of the pool. A few years ago Tennessee voted that veterans could bypass the courses/testing and carry. I brought my military records (Army, infantry, master gunner school, sniper school, etc), even took my 5 year old police department training/quals; they told me I did not meet the criteria. Said I needed an actual pistol score card, I never kept any scorecards, I would have huge file of them if I did. They just get turned never to be seen again. To the point, I'm all for being armed, but is the dude that took an 8 hour course and shot 40 rounds better equipped to carry more than me? Maybe I'm just bitter. Last week, that bloomberg rally by my office had a bunch of Trump supporters outside, some dumb ass open carried his rifle. News was there and I thought to myself, they are going to interview and put you on the news because you are the dumbest idiot out here. You already know how the media portrays the Trump and his supporters, why ruin a peaceful show with stupidity. People like that get my blood boiling, why be an ignorant ass.
Move to IL, that will change your perspective a bit. We have to have a FOID(Fireararm Owners I.D.) in order ot posess/purchase. CC permit to carry etc.... It's an abused system that is meant generate funds while making 2nd amendment right unaffordable, especially to those who need it most. There's an investigation somewhat going on here where when they(lawmakers) were told an outright ban was unconstitutional they came up with $150 application fee to pay for the implementation. Well, a large chunk of that money is now unaccounted for as it was swept elswhere regardless of the law stating all funds were to instill and maintain the system. Meanwhile, the IL State Police by law are supposed to process a FOID application within 30 days and CC apps within 90 days. They are nowhere near making those deadlines, and because the law has no penalties for them willfully ignoring the deadlines they have no reason to change course. File a lawsuit and they immediately process that individuals card and the case is thrown out as moot. The reason they cite delay is not enough money and understaffed. When at least 1/3 of revenue generated is diverted elsewhere and unaccounted for the only answer is to raise fees for a constitutional right, again. I guarantee if they raise fees again, not a penny more will be invested into the intended funds and the new revenue will be diverted elsewhere. Hell, you have to have Mommy and Daddy's permission to get a FOID until you turn 21.

Watched Bloombergs townhall on Fox News. That guy just doesn't get the background check fallacy that he and his cohorts spew. You don't need a background check to purchase online or at a gunshow. BS and anyone that believes differently record yourself in a non-scripted way doing such. All sales and transfers online or at a gunshow have to go through an FFL and a form 4473 must be filled out which also entail the Federal NICS call. Stop with the bullshit rhetoric.

Yeah that's a pile and definitely not the answer. I can go buy a gun, handgun, rifle, shot gun or a 50 cal Barret on my one hour lunch break and still go eat. So long as you have a spotless record it takes longer to ring it up than the wait for approval. However, I had a buddy that got arrested once bc of a bar fight and always has to wait a couple of hours or come back the next day. If there are any North Carolinians voting in the republican primary out there y’all need to look into Mark Robinson for your vote. He doesn’t have the name recognition of some but you probably saw his speech at a Greensboro city council meeting a while back (Which he made before he ever even thought about running for anything.) And just to clarify, I have no connection to his campaign whatsoever. I saw this speech about 6 months back and remember thinking I wish this dude would run for office but then promptly forgot about it. I didn’t even know he was running until this afternoon when I decided to set aside an hour and actually do a little research into what all these people I’m supposed to vote on stand for. Glad I did because otherwise I’dve never known this was the guy running and would’ve probably voted for someone else.
