I'm like @Sota, have never cared for all the hype every time a royal wedding, birth or death occured. Just seems odd to celebrate Independence Day at such a high level and be infatuated and mesmorized by their lives at the same time. At least I won't have to watch any news channels for the next 2 weeks.
Couldn't give a rip over the family drama. Just mentioning as she has died. Which will likely lead to economic and political changes. I'll also give props to a world leader (of sorts) who led (oversaw?) a country for 70 relatively stable years.
Wasn't directed towards you by any means, just saying the nonstop coverage they get in a country that fought a war to liberate themselves from them.
Well that just goes to show you being their descendants(sorta speak) whites of European descent . Show the ability to go through bad events of history with other people and move on when all's said and done through the decades. Gosh look at the Japanese. They moved on, the Mexicans moved on. There are some Americans that should learn a lesson from that...just saying
