I believe a whole lot of people were at least some what pro choice ....until the crazies decided killing babies being delivered or after birth is OK. It's typical though isn't it? It's almost a curse to have a good year anymore, I basically worked for four out of 12 months just to pay taxes but such is life. And I'll be super happy to pay yours if you want to pay mine.. lol.
Even a fair tax which I think was discussed as high as 22 percent would be awesome. Besides lowering it for me it would make everyone actually pay. Instead of just the middle.

Have you considered to refinance to a 15-year loan? With interest rates so low it might get you back above water. 3.170% is the base not sure how your credit is or how much you can put down.
The only thing worse than Bernie himself is his base supporters. I find very little difference between his camp and Trumps. The extreme of either side does nothing more than stall progress. They both spout off unhinged disproved idiotic conspiracy theories, they both have an all or nothing attitude with no hope of compromise and either one could very easily be the end of democracy.
