Hey to all the wind mill guys we were having a beautiful breezy day. Not Gale winds as it were. I went down to Corning and treated visiting Family to the museum. I drove through wind farm country. NOT ONE SINGLE TURBINE WAS RUNNING. Drove back past and still not a blade moving. SIL drove to Bath and the wind mill grave yard was packed...blades were stacked everywhere and a giant machine was grinding them up. Mind you none of it is recyclable and will be buried some where. So there is your green New deal from just a small area....imagine.......
BTW...inflation I use Avacado oil SAM'S had it for 5+ dollars a bottle then it went to 6+ . Well I freaked and bought a case ......WTH...went today to replace the 2 I've used in the mean time...18+ dollars a bottle.
Well the CPI is one of those, um, interesting numbers. But it is an official metric published by the BLS...they are transparent in how is calculated of you really wanted to geek out. But it's an average of averages that seems to under represent the impact to Joe six-pack wallet. I think the average consumer would probably say the real number is more like 15-20%.

SIL drove her new hybrid van up from Texas. Drove straight through so used gas. 36 mpg. When here she just plugged into Daughters and charged each night...No I don't even want to know what that next bill will look like.... I have to say I'd consider a hybrid if the prices weren't so bad. Plus she waited 6 mos and had to call the dealer when she got home because the battery was drained dead and would not recharge. Bam there goes one to the land fill. Then you have a limited number of years use depending on region and amount of. Then at time of purchase the replacement batter will cost you an additional.....TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. No one will know the cost when it's really needed, then the possible EXTRA charge they could impose for disposal of the old battery ...that can not be recycled......hmmm. a nice, big, quiet drive though with a lot of power.
