    Dang I feel bad for the lady but I wish every stupid American saying she was "illegally arrested" for "minor" drug offenses would shut up. This is Russia. That is their law and she willingly and stupidly broke them during a war in which her home country is helping the other side. How freaking stupid do you have to be to try and smuggle drugs in an airport...in a country in which your home country is helping fight against?

    I hope the lady gets release and can come home and smoke her beloved weed in peace. But dang man stop twisting this situation into some racial thing...this is Russia morons.

    Sorry she got is getting what she deserves. Her stance on this country and it's time honoured showing of respect, her showing disrespect in this countries values ..enjoy and reflect on your woke ideals as you sit in a Russian jail. God knows more of this countries radicalized youth need such time outs. No I have no pity for stupidity.

    Exactly, so many people believe that our constitutional rights and freedoms follow us everywhere. Newsflash, they stop at our borders. When you leave the country you leave your American rights behind, you have no freedom of speech, no 4th or 14th amendment protections and damn sure better understand the laws, and more importantly punishments, of those country's you travel to.

    I'm not near as important as a wnba player, that nobody knew of until this happened ha, but I can say what happened is not a surprise. I lived in Moscow for a year, was in US military working at embassy with a diplomatic US passport and if I woulda been out in town without they're special Russian id they'd have thrown my ass in jail no questions asked. So the fact ppl are shocked about what's going on is pretty amusing.
