Its been that way for decades. I did find it a bit entertaining, ironic, and a bit sad, the Mayor was on the news last night criticizing the liberal justices as one of the reasons for their crime problem...the other those horrible gun advocates. He gave the example of the criminal caught one day and back on the street committing crime in a couple days...
Surprisingly strong jobs report this morning, though not moving the unemployment number. I've heard some preliminary talking heads allude to this as evidence the economy is strong and no recession worries... Also, the fed revised their second quarter GDP number slightly upward, earlier in the week from -2.3% to -1.9% -- though still negative. I think this is (still) the market looking for any good news they can find...may see a small uptick today, but still to many other indicators pointing the other direction.
I'm sick to death of the 5 cities running and ruining this state. Let NYC,Rochester,Albany, Syracuse, and Buffalo burn as far as I'm concerned.

The current crude is being pumped out of the strategic reserve not out of the oil fields. Big difference when there is not the capiticy to replace what is being removed from reserves.
