There isn't any equal justice under the law. I turned in a plot to commit murder, had a psychologist,5 witnesses to the plan backing me up ,tried to get the police to get the weapon used before hand. The person had a restraining order put against him by a school. Yet police refused to do anything. 2 wks later restaurant shot up, man executed, man hunt ensued. sheriff physically attacked me when I told him the mans death was on his hands. Detectives had to hold him back. They pleaded it out to manslaughter,no trial and 7 lousy years. Remember premeditated the cops had the whole plan handed to them included weapon that was used. He deserved the DP period! So one should take a whole picture approach to sentencing. The system across the country is rigged and crooked..

To the latter, one can only hope the rash of raids and indictments running through the Democratic ranks that have been taking this state down the toilet for decades was a part of the commutation consideration. I'll trade one slimeball who's life is all but ruined anyway for a couple handfulls of even worse slimeballs. If Madigan somehow falls in the next decade and the entirety of the corruption is brought to light I will be the happiest IL resident ever. That being said, I still expect to be the same disgruntled resident I am today in 20 years. Hell, if we can get redistricting and term limits in my lifetime it will be well worth it but way too late to enjoy it.
I am certain we can find some questionable pardons in any president's terms. Oh sure we can rant and wail but to pretend the process is neutral and not offensive shows emotional retardation with developmental and maturity issues.
