Texas DPS is full of crap and lying out of their arses. If Gov. Abbot doesn't get ahead of this and start firing people at DPS and more importantly leaning on Uvalde to do the same en masse, this will be his downfall and Beto will be the next Governor of Texas. Mark my words.

I have shooting Questions I was an aid and monitor in a high school. We would be briefed before opening day on intruder protocols. A code word was given, the intercom system would announce protocol. You immediately lock the doors, gather the kids to the corner of room farthest away from Windows and locked door have them down tight and then tip desks up in front of them. The reason for desks the Windows on one story buildings can be breeched with shots. Here is my question: Why wasn't the door he barricaded engaged while one or two trained shooter(officers)were sent to those Windows to shoot the gunmen whom was much bigger than the students and dressed In blk with a long gun. Obvious recognizable standing target. If not standing while engaging the door his flank was open to the Windows.the Windows would have been high enough to belly crawl to up along the wall. They should have been glassing the room to know his position.
Not sure if you've been watching the briefing that is ongoing. My biggest thought on this was, what are the odds of a lunatic like this picking thw only door, randomly mind you, that was left unlocked? Turns out a teacher propped that door open. Not once, but twice within 1 minute of him crashing his truck. Something is wrong right there.
