China has bought up all sorts of land, businesses and assets. My former boss from Jamaica noting how all the construction businesses on the island are Chinese. I was listening to a podcast this week about conservation in Africa and it came up that China was at the center of modernization in Kenya. I don't have a in problem with the Capitalistic principles, but it is irksome to see folks like Bill Gates buying up huge swaths of farmland and not using them. And a potential national security or really national economic security issue to see Chinese buying skyscrapers in the metros, shopping malls and industrial manufacturing plants...
