The anti-constitution Democrat party..... SCOTUS really needs to take on more 2A right to self defense cases. If these Democrat strongholds wish to defund the police and allow these antics to occur, then it is time to allow the American public the unfettered right to self defense. And yes, I am insinuating that some of these anti free speech thugs deserve a bullet for their actions. If you cannot counteract a rally with a protest of your own and have to resort to guerilla warfare tactics because your feelings are hurt, you deserve a reaction greater than your own.
I saw this yesterday and had a lot of... thoughts. I wonder what I'd have done had I been there carrying. That candidate's wife was there and she got some of the cement or paint bomb material on her. There were several instances of assault, and with the explosives a reasonable person could very well have interpreted it as assault by a deadly weapon by a known violent organization...and there easily could have been a bloodbath. I dunno folks... in many areas it's getting to the point where your only choices are hide, leave, or fight back.
I agree Noods. But the "fight back" part in unfortunately not politely correct thing nowadays. Sucks for sure.
I only have two choices if confronted, threat or not a threat. No other choice exists. Shove a sign in my face, scream at the top of your lungs, have a sit in to impede my movement. All good, you are not a threat to my safety, only my cause. Throw objects at me, touch me/push me/violate my space with physical means then you are an agressor and subject to my retaliation. Screaming in my face and transmitting your spittle onto my skin is an act of aggression and I would take necessary measures to mitigate your aggression.
I get all of this, and I live in an area where I am not confident 'standing my ground' would be honored anywhere but my own home. Our nation is very near the breaking point. We don't like them but will tolerate a lot, they hate us and won't tolerate us at all.
Truth, yet he should have never made it to trial. An example of where a constitutional right and a freaked out liberal left met toe to toe for a constitutional judgement.
I do not go to cities. I have my head on a swivels where ever I go and because I receive a lot of boxes at home, work with twine and tapes I naturally always put a foldable box cutter in my pocket with a fresh blade in it. It's a tool In use daily. Tools have many uses . I was taught this as a kid. My hands, feet, knees and teeth are all tools with many uses. One should always know how to use their tools to their full capabilities. I watch some of these attack videos and set my mind on defensive mode. No one knows how they may react in such cases as in that latest bad car jacking. That driver got out in a protection stance and there was a second or two before the beating started. I take things like that and dissect them and replay it as to what Could be done in that second or two. A natural reaction to watching this stuff is anger and disgust. Well those are two useless emotions if not put to work and given a purpose. Not to dwell on the senseless brutality of others in a mind set of hopelessness. No to train your brain to react to it in a punishing mode and self protection one. These thugs have a group think that gives them power. Take out one in a dramatic manner and the rest will fall back. Side of neck, inner thigh, down and across inner arm above elbow, and across the belly hard push and a quick rip. A lesson I learned as a bar tender one very bad New YEARS EVE. A brawl broke out. The most viscous in this were the woman. They used everything in reach but one used her teeth. She locked her jaw on a guy's cheek skin. Between his reaction to push her off and her intended ripping. He got to me, as I stood behind the bar, for help with his cheek hanging under his chin. I have carried that visual safely tucked into my defensive arsenal .
