    Hell, I remember at 8 years old buying my mom cigarettes, Players with the red stripe, with only a hand written note.

    Now you have to be 21 to buy them.

    Unless you're talking about California, I did just that today. I buy gas with cash and the places I get gas, I pump then walk in and pay.

    I had a debit card scammed one time at a gas station. That is the reason I buy gas with cash.

    In the suburbs of the Twin Cities it is all prepay, town by me it is pump and pay.

    Here most stations have turned to pay at the pump or prepay. A few still have a choice to pay inside after you pump.

    all prepay around here, waaaay to many drive offs other wise ..... there are several stations that will give a 5-7 cent discount to those who do pay with cash .... use a CC/Debit card, pay full price ..

    There's a gas station 3 blocks from my bar that is pay at the pump or pre pay. It is 1 block from the interstate. They were getting a lot of drive offs.

    I'm still astonished at how low some people will stoop.
