It doesn't matter if there is a problem with voter fraud, getting an ID to vote is the right thing to do. If a police officer pulls you over for even a weenie driving infraction you are required to present an id, correct? What if you responded, "hey officer I don't have an ID and you can't make me present one b/c of my civil liberties?" You think that is going to go over well? Or how about when you visit your doctor and are required to present your health insurance card...."nah, I'm not giving you my health insurance card to verify me being insured". Do you think you would get medical service? No. Requiring an ID to vote is not a bill aimed at disenfranchising people even those on the left would try to paint a bill as such b/c they want to pander for votes. Give us all a darn break and I am not even a hard right leaning Republican. I believe in reducing big government and personal accountability in life. You want to act like a terd and don't want to get with the program, then maybe you shouldn't vote. It doesn't matter if some weenie politicians think a law making it mandatory to present an ID at a voting station will effect someone's ability vote. Getting an ID and presenting it at a voting station is the right thing to do. What is the cost of a driver's license or at least just an identification card at your local Division of Motor Vehicles? $10, $20? Here in VA it only costs $10 for an identification license but I will go with $20 to prove my point. Presidential elections happen ever four year, or 1,460 days which means a person needs to save $5 a year for 4 years in order to have enough money to buy a license and participate in our election process. To break it down further, a person would only need to save about 40-50 cents a month for four years in order to buy a license. A person could look in their couch cushions or walk the local mall and find that much money in a couple of hours, maybe minutes. Is that asking too much? Enough of the excuse making and all the weenieness being exhibited by certain lawmakers. It is making me sick to even listen to them speak.
actually the earliest date for inclusion as service in Vietnam was November 1st, 1956 during the Eisenhower administration. We had US soldiers dying in Vietnam as far back as 1945, when Major Dewey (OSS) was killed by communist Vietminh outside of Hanoi.
So does anyone know their current law and besides ILL folks does anyone have a problem? We have to show ID here in MI, I have no issue with it. Just asking question from the other side of the coin
You get your news off a pigeons leg or what? Looks like you know as much about voter fraud as you do Unions. Let me get this right, You know Wikileaks can hack the Defence Departments network, yet don't think it's possible for some neo-con hacker to get into a Sequoia (Diebold) voting machine in corn cob junction Iowa. Lets take a look at the Secretary of State in Ohio for the 2004 election, putting less voting machines in minority districts that had seen a high increase in voter registration leaving them standing in line for hours upon hours to vote. There are lots of ways to control voting machines, you need to Google it.
This was just from a quick search. I’m sure those Liberals here ,living in denial will bury their heads in the sand and reject this or even hope to assert Republicans do this (but they wont find any examples.) Remember, these are but a small sampling of those that were actually caught and is no doubt just a drop in the bucket compared to those that went unnoticed. I really have to question the motives of those that hope to pretend this is not happening. Anyway, sit back and read some examples from the Dems that were caught stealing elections and destroying the integrity of the American vote. Basically they are saying that they will do anything to win, even if its fraudulent and illegal. Way to go Dems, So here are a few examples of voter fraud that were caught. (those that are not caught wont make the list.) These are linked to Democrats via ACORN. Which Dem President was attached to ACORN prior to becoming President??? MO 2008 Nearly 400 ACORN-submitted registrations in Kansas City have been rejected due to duplication or fake information. 2007 Four ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City for charges including identity theft and filing false registrations during the 2006 election. 2003 Of 5,379 voter registration cards ACORN submitted in St. Louis, only 2,013 of those appeared to be valid. At least 1,000 are believed to be attempts to register voters illegally. Schmidt's report also found 23 cases of people being allowed to vote despite not being registered, one division that recorded six more votes than voters and scattered cases of people voting in the wrong political primary or legislative district. In IN 2008 Election officials in Indiana have thrown out more than 4,000 ACORN-submitted voter registrations after finding they had identical handwriting and included the names of many deceased Indianans, and even the name of a fast food restaurant. MN 2004 During a traffic stop, police found more than 300 voter registration cards in the trunk of a former ACORN employee, who had violated a legal requirements that registration cards be submitted to the Secretary of State within 10 days of being filled out and signed. In AR 1998 A contractor with ACORN-affiliated Project Vote was arrested for falsifying about 400 voter registration cards. In CO 2005 Two ex-ACORN employees were convicted in Denver of perjury for submitting false voter registrations. PA 2009 Seven ACORN workers in the Pittsburgh area were indicted for submitting falsified voter registration forms. Six of the seven were also indicted for registering voters under an illegal quota system. 2004 An ACORN employee admitted to forging signatures and registering three of her friends to vote 40 times. In CT 2008 The New York Post reported that ACORN submitted a voter registration card for a 7-year-old Bridgeport girl. In FL 2009 In September, 11 ACORN workers were accused of forging voter registration applications in Miami-Dade County during the last election. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the state attorney’s office scoured hundreds of suspicious applications provided by ACORN and found 197 of 260 contained personal ID information that did not match any living person. 2006 Eight ACORN employees in St. Louis were indicted on federal election fraud charges. Each of the eight faces up to five years in prison for forging signatures and submitting false information. NV 2009 Nevada authorities indicted ACORN on 26 counts of voter registration fraud and 13 counts of illegally compensating canvassers. ACORN provided a bonus compensation program called “Blackjack” or “21+” for any canvasser who registered more than 20 voters per shift, which is illegal under Nevada law. 2008 Nevada state authorities raided ACORN's Las Vegas headquarters as part of a task force investigation of election fraud. Fraudulent registrations included players from the Dallas Cowboys. OH 2008 ACORN activists gave Ohio residents cash and cigarettes in exchange for filling out voter registration card, according to the New York Post. Some voters claim to have registered dozens of times, and one man says he signed up on 72 cards. 2007 A man in Reynoldsburg was indicted on two felony counts of illegal voting and false registration, after being registered by ACORN to vote in two separate counties. 2004 A grand jury indicted a Columbus ACORN worker for submitting a false signature and false voter registration form. In Franklin County, two ACORN workers submitted what the director of the board of election supervisors called “blatantly false” forms. In Cuyahoga County, ACORN and its affiliate Project Vote submitted registration cards that had the highest rate of errors for any voter registration group. 2008 State election officials have thrown out 57,435 voter registrations, the majority of which were submitted by ACORN. The registrations were thrown out after officials found "clearly fraudulent" signatures, vacant lots listed as addresses, and other signs of fraud. 2008 An ACORN employee in West Reading, PA, was sentenced to up to 23 months in prison for identity theft and tampering with records. A second ACORN worker pleaded not guilty to the same charges and is free on $10,000 bail. 2004 Reading’s Director of Elections received calls from numerous individuals complaining that ACORN employees deliberately put inaccurate information on their voter registration forms. The Berks County director of elections said voter fraud was “absolutely out of hand,” and added: “Not only do we have unintentional duplication of voter registration but we have blatant duplicate voter registrations.” The Berks County deputy director of elections added that ACORN was under investigation by the Department of Justice. TX 2008 In Harris County, nearly 10,000 ACORN-submitted registrations were found to be invalid, including many with clearly fraudulent addresses or other personal information. 2008 ACORN turned in the voter registration form of David Young, who told reporters “The signature is not my signature. It’s not even close.” His social security number and date of birth were also incorrect. VA 2005 In 2005, the Virginia State Board of Elections admonished Project Vote and ACORN for turning in a significant number of faulty voter registrations. An audit revealed that 83% of sampled registrations that were rejected for carrying false or questionable information were submitted by Project Vote. Many of these registrations carried social security numbers that exist for other people, listed non-existent or commercial addresses, or were for convicted felons in violation of state and federal election law. In a letter to ACORN, the State Board of Elections reported that 56% of the voter registration applications ACORN turned in were ineligible. Further, a full 35% were not submitted in a timely manner, as required by law. The State Board of Elections also commented on what appeared to be evidence of intentional voter fraud. "Additionally,” they wrote, “information appears to have been altered on some applications where information given by the applicant in one color ink has been scratched through and re-entered in another color ink. Any alteration of a voter registration application is a Class 5 Felony in accordance with § 24.2-1009 of the Code of Virginia." WA 2007 Three ACORN employees pleaded guilty, and four more were charged, in the worst case of voter registration fraud in Washington state history. More than 2,000 fraudulent voter registration cards were submitted by the group during a voter registration drive. WI 2008 At least 33,000 ACORN-submitted registrations in Milwaukee have been called into question after it was found that the organizations had been using felons as registration workers, in violation of state election rules. Two people involved in the ongoing Wisconsin voter fraud investigation have been charged with felonies. CITY COMMISSIONER Al Schmidt said the notion of voter fraud in Philadelphia is so politicized and distorted that some claim it never happens, and others claim there are hundreds of thousands of cases. The truth, Schmidt added, is somewhere in the middle. Now Schmidt is in the middle of the debate after releasing a report Wednesday that raised as many questions as it answered about voter irregularities. Double voting: The report found one Democrat who voted in her new West Philly division and her old West Philly division. Voter impersonation: The report tracks a South Philly voter named Joseph Cheeseboro and someone voting in his name. The two voters, who each cast a ballot in 2007, are registered at a vacant lot and at a convenience store. Voting by noncitizens: The report found seven registered voters who cast ballots in the past decade — including one this year — despite not being U.S. citizens. So those claiming its not happening and we dont need voter ID laws, are just kidding themselves, but why. We are weeding out those folks in this thread. Keep exposing yourselves. We are paying attention.
I didnt mean to shut down this thread with reality and facts when the liberal Dems were so certain (in denial) there is no need for voter ID and that voter fraud is not real. By all means, continue to tell us there is no reason for voter ID. LOL
typical.....we also never did hear back from the folks claiming that the home sale tax for Obamacare did not exist once it was proven so. Kinda like the drive-by media.
Wow it appears most of these were caught and dealt with, that's great. It's how it's suppose to work.
Yeah, I'm sure they caught them all. I mean now that the liberals that denied it happens see that it happens a lot (and I only showed the ones linked to ACORN), they will pretend they all get caught. Just like all speeders get caught. Just like all poachers get caught. Voter ID at the polls checked against a voter roll is a simple way to address the situation (until the liberal dems come up with another way to scam the system)
Last line is exactly it IMO, those that want to beat any system will, we address it by more laws and government gets bigger, but we all know you love big intrusive government rc
Nope, not at all. You mistakenly assume so but I think its something you concoct in your head. The reason why escape me. The answer is to get the liberals to stop breaking the laws and to stop scamming the voting process. Why they cant be honest and law abiding is beyond me. Why must they be so corrupt?? Republicans fight for ending this corruption and the dems (as we see here) do everything in their power to stop the safegaurds that allow them to be corrupt. Dems want to steal the election and Republicans would not mind losing if the lose fair and square. They just object to having elections stolen.
