Without getting to much farther off topic, but I can buy a 30 round mag for my 10/22 also so I guess we don't need those either.

Yes this did get off topic a bit and should be about the officers wounded and killed by this senseless act of violence. Something needs to be done so this doesn't happen on such a regular basis. I just don't have a good answer to allow sane law abiding citizens the opportunity to own rifles like this while keeping them out of the hands of people who for whatever reason use them to take the lives of innocent police officers or civilians. I honestly don't know if there is a good answer or solution to this problem. Taking them away altogether will only allow the criminals to possess them and I certainly don't want that.

My intent was never to imply I don't want citizens to own them. The guns don't do the killing, people do. My only intent with my previous comments was I don't believe the original inventor invented it to be used for hunting as most people use them for now. He was trying to make a better rifle for our military and I'll say he certainly did.

My apologies if I misled you with my previous comments. Sometimes things don't always come across as intended with written words. I love the guns I have, I love my bow, I love my freedom and I love my country, most of the time. They can pry them from my cold dead hands. As the signature says, 6 years Army vet. And contrary to your previous comment, there is no way on God's green earth I'm voting for Hilary! She's the

I'll just quote Sarah Evans and say...... I think the world needs a drink!

Do you realize that an AR style rifle is not the same thing as the AR10 select fire Rifle you are referencing. That its a class 3 firearm and you must pass an extensive background check and purchase an expensive permit to possess one.

There are dozens of different Semi automatic rifle that are just as effect as the Ar15 platform, but they are not scary to people because they don't look like a machine gun.

No one has the sense God gave a goose. STOP. Slow down. Put our your hand out to your "enemy". Forgive. Forge a relationship. Lift each other up. This country has become a crap hole.

This country has become divided, there's no doubt about that. The real question that we need to ask is WHY? Why in the last several years have we became so divided on the issues. Black vs. White, Pro-Gun vs Anti-Gun, Gender Issues, the list goes on and on. People need to stop, step back and start looking at the bigger picture and quite putting a microscope on every little issue. Start looking at the commonalities in all the things that have happened over the last several years. Start putting the pieces of the puzzle together and maybe then the public will realize they are being played like puppets. Puppets in a war to replace free will and freedom of choice with the will of the government to rule.

It's not going to get better anytime soon either.

The left keeps going further left, heck we had a socialist winning the popular vote, but political implemented processes kept a proven liar in the guaranteed slot and she is likely to win the presidency.

That, is what this country has come to.

Trump aside, the Republican party is so split amongst itself it couldn't even get one of its own nominated in what should have been a landslide victory.

Too many people need nurtured and coddled to make it anymore, everyone gets a participation trophy for being born.

If we ever sink into a deep depression like our grandparents endured, there will be no saving this country.

If history does indeed repeat itself, this country is far from rock bottom currently. I can't imagine what rock bottom would look like
