Unfortunately the public verdict of murder as already came in so evidence and circumstances don't matter. Didn't you know that guy was standing there selling bibles with his hands up when the officers got there? Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Lot of great comments on this thread and I value everyone's opinion except one. JH your comment about whether the police officer in Louisiana will get the death penalty. That comment is ignorant. That Officer will not get the death penalty for protecting our society from a felon carrying an illegal firearm who menaced someone with it and then fought the police when they attempted to stop him. I'm glad that officer made it home safe to his family and it's sad that he will be going through the stress of what this has become.
It is another one of those days when I ask myself what the hell is going on in this country, and the world. So glad to live out in the middle of nowhere where nothing ever happens.
I've told the wife.....days are drawing closer and closer where I will tell her we are selling everything and moving to a more remote part of the country and we don't live in a HUGE populated area but right smack in the middle of Chicago/Indy/Detroit/Cleveland area isn't one I want to be if stuff just keeps getting worse.
I don't doubt the original intentions of BLM, the intentions that existed before the media got a hold of it and it turned into what we first saw it to be on TV. I don't doubt there are a handful of unfortunate situations where officers made a questionable decision, not because they had purposeful malintent towards a a single person or race. And I'm not speaking on behalf of any of the specific ones discussed in the news over the past few years, I mean altogether. Some people simply can't fathom what risks and stress an officer goes through on a daily basis. "Is this guy trying to take my gun? My wife. My kids. Am I being surrounded?" Those are mere sentences, try having it run through your head at the same time while under a potential life threatening situation. Unfortunately BLM has become a fringe group of those who downplay criminal activity and up-play officer response situations that turn into main stream media hot button topics. What happened in Dallas wasn't a protest, it was a riot. This race baiting has to stop. The violence has to stop. We are the best damn country in the world, we need to start acting like it.
Were 45 minutes south of Cleveland and this place is going nuts for the RNC. All the Hotels in town are booked solid. Its going to be a long week in the Fire/EMS/Emergency/LEO world.
And the narrative shifts once again from what was important yesterday(Hillary Clinton's Lying to the FBI and illegally storing classified information on unsecure person servers) to Gun Control and how white people are racist. You can't make this **** up and it is by no mean a coincidence.
Ballwin, Missouri: Police Officer Shot by Suspect During Traffic Stop, Authorities Say The officer was shot Friday morning, police said. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the officer was wounded in the neck. Another officer arrested the suspect after the shooting, police said.
No clue if these are related, but I wouldnt doubt it. I do know one thing.. a lot of the comments about cops deserving it ect ect is sick.
Reports say the shooter in Dallas was an Army vet who did a tour in Afghanistan and a friend said he changed after returning. The friend said he got close to some bad people and became a black panther. This could end up being another case of PTSD or not being properly conditioned for civilian life. It's not an excuse but we do have a problem with people coming back and struggling. I just hope this doesn't spark a national movement of rioting and violence, things could get ugly.
They cry and start this **** if shootings are justified or not.. I think people need to take a look at the real problem. Facts and statistics show where the problem is and its not cops.
A police officer was shot in the neck this morning while on a traffic stop in Ballwin MO. Suspect is in custody, and no other info at this time. This **** is beyond comprehension.
