Here is some pictures of mine. My face looks more ridiculous than it usually does. Then its behind my ears(really annoying) then it looks like this all the way down my arm. It also got to the place I really wish it didn't.

Damn, got to the doctor and tell them you need a Cortisone shot and a steroid pack. Cortisone shots aren't really that good for you, but if you can cut the recovery time to a third of normal, it's worth it to me.

Just got my shot. It wasn't cortisone, some other steroid. Already feels much better.

I got mine from hanging a lock-on this weekend.

    See! I do hunt!

Jeez my doc only gave me pills to take. If the pills dont help much in the next couple days I will see if I can get a shot.

Maybe just try some regular lotion??? Just don't get too carried away on the one unmentionable spot you got it. :tu:

In all seriousness, you want it to dry out. I spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub with mine and it seemed to help some.

Haha maybe my GF will help out some. ;) did your wife end up helping you out

Looks like I need to find someone with a hot tub now. :tu: I think my face being swollen is making the dryness seem worse than it is.

Regular lotion isn't going to do anything but reduce the symptons, he needs steroids to help reduce the inflammation. Both my arms, my balls, and my ears were covered. Now, after only an hour after the shot, the really bad spots are still visible. But they don't bother me.

Go get the shot. I went to one of the Urgent Care places. It costs $20.

I get it a lot. Cotton swap rubbing alcohol over it, and over it, and over it to dry it out. Worked better than Ivy out or any of that lotion

#1 rule for poison ivy. Don't play with yourself after you come back in from the woods :poke:
