Hey guys, I am an avid gun enthusiast, have multiple firearms but feel getting into bows, and bow hunting is something that would benefit me greatly.

If there is a beginner site, or just a couple tips to help a newbie gear up it would be greatly appreciated.

Just try every bow yah can. a good local pro shop will suit you better than a big box store. Dont chintz out on arrows, and most importantly have fun and welcome to the family!

I appreciate it man, and I apologize for the question but obviously arrows aren't like ammo, as ammo is one time use unless you reload, is said the same with arrows? In hunting/archery are you able to recover and reuse arrows multiple times?

Sure otherwise it would get insanely expensive!! You wanna check over your arrows to make sure they are not damaged tho and never shoot a damaged arrow

You're in the right place to learn.

Just browse and ask questions any time you feel the need to.

I always shotgun hunted in the past, but didn't have anyone to teach me anything about bowhunting. The guys here on this site have helped me out tremedously. I'm in my second season now and still have TONS of questions and the guys are always great about helping.

Also don't forget to check out the Technical forum either. You can learn about pretty much all of the technical side of the compound bow and "what does what".

The best advice I can give you, is find a bow you're comfortable with (you don't have to pull 70 #s either), and shoot....ALOT....ALOT!!!!

    Welcome!
