Poachers! Well this is my first year archery hunting, i was out in the woods all year, scouting, patterning, checking my one and only camera. So i walked in to my camera, and wow there's 22 pics, awesome, well they were all doe or the same doe that just like her picture taken. Well i eventually found a buck in the area, 12pt to be exact, all grey face, very nice deer, old. So the first day of archery, i was walking into my spot, first light came, and it was about noon, didn't see anything all morning, took a walk along the outskirts of a field, and low and behold, there was my monster pa buck, DEAD with a v-notch cut out of his head. Everything was still there, All they took was the rack and hide. Well first year of archery, still have my tags.
You said it!!!! I can't stand stuff like that! I'm from an area with a large Amish population (4th largest in the world) and alot of them are caught poaching every year. They'll be caught with several untagged deer hanging in their barns....makes me SICK!
the talk in n/e ok. is a game warden was caught poaching, also heard he used a gun that he had confiscated from a previous poacher. if true a pat on the back to the warden who arrested him .
