I only got them recently due to a lot of building. I am slapping myself in the head for not getting them sooner. I have put in 200+ nails this morning, none bent, in the time it normally would take me to put in a fourth of that number and my elbows and shoulders feel great.

    I love pneumatic nail guns.

I love everything about them except for the price of the nails.

I keep shooting the finish nailers through my fingers... It hurts. The framing nailers are great but those little finish nails don't necessarily go straight on the back side of the wood. Word to the wise... from the not so wise I guess... Watch your digits.

It's addicting too! I now have a framing, finish, brad and staple air gun. You don't need 3 hands anymore!

Absolutely! I have one of each too LOL. We just got the walls up on the goat barn and if I had to use a hammer I would be insane right now. I use the framing and stapler the most. The stapler is great for attaching chicken wire to enclosures.

I am now a nail gun junkie LOL.

If it gets cold where you live like it does here. Make sure you mix a Lil antifreeze with your gun oil it'll keep them from locking up. And keep them clean blow back can really suck
    i really miss my job.

Good advice, thanks. I don't think I'll be using it if it gets that cold though. I am a pussy when it comes to cold weather. I have been adding a drop of oil every 50 nails in the framer. I read somewhere that it is good to make sure they stay lubricated.

You don't need that much just once a day is good. To much and it stains the wood your shooting. So for your finish nailers barely any oil unless you have an oiless one. To bad you didn't mention it on here first. I only have about a 10 of each lmao

Yep, I've use my fair share in the three short years living at my home. That and my impact driver.

Thanks. When you say once a day about how many nails are we talking in your average day? Remember, I am just doing projects, some are kind of big but still, and I am not throwing that many nails through there. Today was a lot and when we attach the wall planking will be a lot but that is not really typical for me. So, would you say about 5 drops for every 500 nails? More? Less? I appreciate the advice on these things.

treat it like your outer guns you don't want a lot of oil in it.
On average if i was framing a house i would go through about 2 boxes of nails a day myself. paslode boxes held i think 500 3".
Also make sure you drain your compressor every day any fluid in the tank will pass thru the hose and your gun

Also if you are going to have wall planking exposed to the elements make sure you use galvanized ring shanks they will always hold up better.

    Excellent advice!

I do drain the tank. I read about that and see the fluid when I drain it.

LOL I'll never go back. I put up the small barn (16x28x10 high) by myself with a hammer. If the nail gun breaks I will be buying another.
