My pneumatic framing nailer has just started double tapping every time the trigger is pulled. The owner's manual says nothing about this. This keeps up and I'm going to end up nailing myself to the new dog mansion. Started out a 4x8 but one of the dogs likes being on top of things, so not it is becoming a two story dog house with a total of 60 square feet. This is inside my 12x16 shed in the back yard and it will have solar powered fans to keep the air moving and they have a window in it. What I didn't think about was the fact that I will have to crawl in on the bottom level and then up to the top level to open the window for them. Will have to cut an access panel into the 2nd floor to get to the window.
Check the setting level should be a turn dial by thr trigger what brand is it? All my my guns have the dial including my roofn gun. U might have hit a tension swithch to trigger continous nailing
We've had them get gunked up with oil and dirt before and so that. Not sure if it was actual cause but after a quick cleaning they worked fine.
I picked it up at Menards and its brand new Bosch. It is set at one nail per trigger pull with the safety depressed. I think I'll take it back and get another one.
Try putting more force behind the handle towards the material you are nailing. If you let it bounce back after you pull the trigger from the recoil and goes forward again and hits the wood it will fire again making seem like a double fire. Try keeping your wrist stiff and not let it take the recoil. If that doesn't work and its new just take it back and get a new one.
