Hi guys, I've shooting for about a month now. Could you please look at the link to the video and comment on my form? http://youtu.be/MrnLXeqRTUY I would much appreciate any feedback. Regards.
You have a good form but ou need to open your hand when you shoot so your fingers are pointing straight at the tarhet, this makes it much less likely to torque the bow and throw your shot off, also follow trough with your shot by letting the bow fall forward after the shot( also reduces the chance for bow torque)
I agree with DD. It also looks like you might be punching the trigger on your release a bit, seems like you eyes slightly flinch before the shot. Looks good for the most part though, keep it up!
I could be wrong, but it looks like you are closing your left hand around the grip just before you release, which would cause some bow torque. Also, just my .02, but when I am practicing my form I slow everything down. I will intentionally hold both arms up longer after I shoot, just to see what my body is trying to do.
For only shooting a month your form looks great. But, just like DoeDropper and Fitz said, open up your bow hand more. Squeeze the trigger, don't punch it. And it does look like your flinching a bit. Just stay relaxed though the entire shot.
These guys all said the same thing I was going to say, so I'll leave it at "great song choice" and good luck this season.
let the bow go.... I mean your grip is strong let it loosen up your grip. Also it looks like you are jerking the triger. lengthen out your release and lightly squeeze the trigger. also I would not straighten my left arm leave alittle bend in it
I agree, loosen your grip some. DO NOT point your fingers at the target. Worst mistake I see archers do. Focusing all your might and pointing your fingers is ass bad a gripping the handle. Simply let them rest on the riser
