I'm looking at buying either a 1 or 2 row planter for putting in my expanded food plot this year. I want to plant about 2-3 acres of soybeans, surrounded by a strip of clover. I would also like to put in some Sorghum, a stand of corn and some brassicas.

For those of you that plant beans or corn, what type of planter are you using? It seems like there isn't much choice out there on the market for small acreage planters capable of planting large seeds. I've been looking at some custom made John Deere 71 and 7100 series 3pt planters, but just curious what everyone else is using.

I just broadcast mine and harrow or disc lightly and roll with a cultipacker. It gets the job done nicely.
