Anybody else here suffer from plantar fasciitis? Just an FYI, Ive been dealing with it in the from of a very painful left heal for the past 2 years and nothing I did seemed to help it until I got this thing call a Strassburg sock, recommended to me by a physical therapist. I bought one a month ago and my pain has completely gone away. It look over a week of wearing it every night before the pain went away completely and now I can't stop wearing it because I'm afraid the pain may come back. It's feels great to be able to walk pain free again. Been pain-free for over a month. First time in over two years Also stretch your foot well each morning when you get out of bed and before you take your first step. Just lean back on it like a calf stretch. Good luck all, if you have this you know what a pain in the --- foot it is Their description: Do you suffer from heel pain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, or just tight calves? Then the Strassburg Sock is just what the doctor ordered. Wear the Strassburg Sock at night to gently stretch arch, heel and calf tissues thereby reducing pain and promoting healthy tissue regrowth. https://www.marathonsports.com/prod...FVSyyExbu9JmxfN99NqIdqmAWIsWG-XoaAsR1EALw_wcB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Afflicted I've had it in my left heel for 2 years like you. Real bad....right where it ties into my heal. I ran last night and it hurts like heck right now. I'll give that device a try. Thanks man. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I tried everything and I can't believe how well this worked. Put a stiff shoe insert on the sock as well and let me know how it works. I noticed it helping right away for the first few days and then not as much and so I stopped but I started using it again in about a month ago and now it's completely gone. Within a week. I noticed the rubber boots really seem to aggravate it. Also. Make sure to stretch that foot before you take your first steps in the morning. I just spin right out of bed and stretch my foot each morning before I take my first step. Seems also really help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Get a lacrosse ball, stand with one foot on top of it. slowly roll the ball back and forth while pressing down. This will break up the knots in the fascia that are causing the pain. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
About 4 yrs ago I completely ruptured my plantaris tendon on my left leg. And 2 days before my first Colorado elk hunt, which I put my purse down and went on I might add. Any who I eventually started to develop plantar fasciitis in my left foot. The Dr. had custom made inserts for my shoes. Not only did it help that out it also helped my back to feel better. I think it was like $600 or so for each set ( I got 2 sets) on the thank God side of things it was a work related injury and everything was covered so no out of pocket. Don't know if something like that would help you but it might be another option to look into. Best of luck to ya.
I tried the balls under my foot, frozen ice bottle to. This blue step pad to stretch my foot more and bought over a dozen "new balance" inserts for my shoes. They all helped to a degree but didn't come close to curing it except this sock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As i got older, I began having this issue. I tried everything including the aforementioned sock. The only thing that worked for me was custom made insoles by a Podiatrist. I still have minor issues and pain on long hikes or running but at least it is now tolerable. They were expensive but if my memory serves me right, insurance paid for dr visit and first pair. I bought a second pair for convenience at $300 that was not covered.
I have those inserts and a dozen of the other ones but my heel was so sensitive it didn't really help because they had no padding. How long did you try the sock? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You sold me on them, just ordered 2 from Amazon. Never thought I would spend $79 on a pair of socks but aside from custom orthotics this is probably my cheapest option to try. Walking on concrete in steel toed boots for the past 17 years has taken a toll on my feet. Some mornings I have gotten out of bed and damn near fell from the pain. Mentioned it to the Dr. And he orescribed some Naproxen and to use a towel or rope under the front of my foot to stretch it out. Still have the Naproxen as neither really worked. Need to talk with insurance to see if they cover orthotics at all. Thinking I may need those as well as not only do I get heel pain, but when I try to keep weight shifted from my heels I get a good deal of pain in the front outer 3rd of my feet as well. Hoping if these help the heel pain it will in turn remedy the other pain. Willing to try anything right now
My wife bought me compression socks that I wear when I am scouting and it is amazing how much better my foot feels after I am done.
Good socks and taking care of your feet are underrated. Feet feel good, you feel good. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Mine went away when I stopped skimping on shoes. I work in Nike boots or cross trainers and I replace them every six months or so.
