Plans for the 4th?

Tomorrow I'll be running the local Firecracker 5k with a group of old college friends. $100 goes to the winner (I got it in the bag). Afterwards I'll be smoking a pork shoulder and consuming copious amounts of good beer while reminiscing of the great college days with friends.

Will hopefully be able to go fishing either Saturday or Friday morning. I'll just be relaxing with the wife and baby girl the rest of the long weekend.

Heading to Lake Thunderhead, MO today till Sunday with some friends and family, birthday is on Saturday as well, should make for a great weekend!

 

Doing some landscaping tomorrow morning for some extra cash. Then from there going to put my first trail cam out in the woods to get that going. Topping the evening of by grilling some steaks and having a few cold ones. Then taking the girlfriends son to watch some good fireworks. Friday we're going to visit my folks who are camping. Gonna do a "low country boil" with them and some of their friends. It should be a great weekend.

 

Traveling, but stopping over the evening of the 4th at Mt. Rushmore to pay homage to this once great nation, and hoping that we will once again return the the nation that I grew up believing in.

Until 2011, they had a massive fireworks display over Mt Rushmore, but no longer do this.

Then continuing on our road trip to Yellowstone! Can't wait to get off work and get it started.

 

Not much in the way of plans here in my part of Bama, 100% chance of rain today and the next two days. It's been pouring all day and flood warnings are out.

 

I have to mow grass if there isn't rain, and I have to come into work for a while.

 

Water skiing & tubing.

 

I'll be spending much of the next 3 days on the lake (took Friday off)...also playing a golf scramble tourney on Sat with a bunch of friends

 

Going to the lake, jet ski and fish. Then old fashion clam broil and lobster, unfortunately back to work friday

 

Cooking out, enjoy time with the family, drink beer, singe all the hair off my hands while lighting fireworks. Just like last year.

 

Running the peach tree 10K in what appears to be flood like conditions. Work Friday and Saturday

 

Hang stands, drink some cold beer, and blow stuff up. Not in that exact order or at same time, hopefully ha.

 

Working extra until midnight. Rest of the family is going to be hanging out and having fun.

 

I'm learning that working for a smaller company has it's perks for holidays. Since no one was going to come in, and those that were going to come in, weren't going to do anything, the company just decided to make Friday a holiday as well!

 

first and foremost..... PLEASE EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY!!!!! be alert while driving, watch out for drunk drivers.

with that out of the way, Me the wife and boy will be at my parents lake house for a family cookout, watching and listening to my white trash sister complain about not having any money for her 3 kids, while showing off her new tattoos. LOL!!! then back to work 1am friday morning!

 

I'll be enjoying some striper fishing and drinking enough beer to drown a man and probably cooking up various kinds of fresh seafood.

Probably a parade. Fix some stuff that I have been neglecting at home. Going to look at a cultipacker. Mow the grass. suck some beer. Work with the dog training for grouse season.
