I am planning an archery hunt in the next couple years. I am going to take as many trips as possible to scout any and as much public ground as possible. I am thinking Zone 9 due to being closest to Wisconsin maybe Zone 5. Anyone have any experience hunting public land in Iowa? What is the best way to get information? Also is there anything specific that I need to know? Thanks

I will apply for preference points and while I am waiting to get my license I will scout as much as possible. Does anyone have any areas they recommend or think someone should stay away from, from prior experience?
