I just did a bad thing... tough to beat for the performance/price point (340IBO and fully adjustable w/ no press) with a 5 spot quiver, 5 pin sight, peep, WB, D-loop, wrist loop and 'stab'. Another $200-ish for a release, 6 arrows and broadheads and I will be GtG. I have to wait 2-3 days to pick it up, nobody within 4 hours has a leftie in stock- even the local pro shops. I even got free location advice from an old cowboy named Badger at the local shop! So with license and tags, I got a from scratch, fully-equipped DIY velvet mulie/Couse hunt in Arizona for under $1000!
I think when it comes to killing a buck, Benny Bucks just gets it done all over the states.. that’s where my money is going!
Did some scouting in SE AZ yesterday. Nothing while glassing but from the road did come across this almost certain mulie/Couse hybrid doe (big body, big ears but whitetail rump) and also a definite Couse doe with triplet fawns that I wasn't able to get a pic of.
It was Badger that tipped the scales. I mean, his freaking name is Badger! He looked and talked just like Hickok 45, only 20 years older. Even sort of open carrying a .45 tucked IWB in front of his tucked in shirt. With suspenders.
From my professional experience working with couples as a mental health counselor, I can tell you the following with the utmost certainty. It is always easier to ask for forgiveness, than approval. LOL
Any takers on betting that I finally get it done this year on a buck over 120"? It will be 5 years this November since the infamous but-shot buck! My buck killing rate is usually one every 4 years +/- 1 year.
Have you reminded your wife how big of a deal you are on this forum again lately when she gives you crap for your kill rate? LOL
Don't forget the Hispanic correlary...I believe Mr Noodles wife is of Hispanic descent...PR maybe? So, if he disappears...we'll know... Course it's just a bow...and some accessories.
Season begins 9/12 here. It ain't going to be me. Not a fan of shooting deer when it is hot out.... Have to be a giant!!!
