Did anyone else see this? Apparently beef that should be discarded is being processed with ammonia, semi liquified, formed into bricks and sold to meat packers where it is then ground into America's Burger supply. It is also being used in Public Schools. Pretty gross... which from me says a lot. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlin...und-beef-at-supermarkets-contains-pink-slime/
I heard about the story several weeks ago where it was told that McDonald's hamburgers contained a high percentage of the "Pink Slime"
I am thinking about an organic garden. That stuff sells for really good prices evidently. We have plenty of property to do it and a roadside market up the road about a mile. I'll take venison and home grown anyday over... slime. Unless we're talking about Boiled Okra, a slice of onion and some cornbread... It's a Southern thing.
This. I'm in the process of switching over to local farmers for my beef supply. I already can get chicken and eggs locally. As for McDonalds...if you're willing to eat there, no sympathy from me...what did you expect:D
That's pretty disgusting. I'm even careful where I buy my beef when It comes to local farmers. I don't trust many people when It comes to what their feeding their cattle with. As far as eating deer you shoot, I can guarantee In certain parts of the country they have junk In their system too with all the herbicides farmers are using these days.
Funny Photo... I think I'll pass on the McNasty. I only drink their coffee and eat an occasional Egg McMuffin. (Once or twice per year)
Agreed. Most ground beef apparantly has this slime, so how are you gonna tell. Not too many cattle farmers in NJ to buy from. It is horrid though..but with a few slices of red onion a little crumbled bleu cheese, you'll never know.
