I had similar problem until I got far vision glasses. I was amazed at how my shooting improved. Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Deaf is great. The ladies talk a lot. About a bunch of stuff. Apparently there's all kind of randomness going on. None of it impacts me. Can't wait to get hearing aids and pull them out!!!
went to the shop this past weekend, I said, I need a peep verifier, then he said, "you mean a clarifier?' I said sure, then asked why, I told him, all in all, he said it wouldnt do anything but blur my target, so I said F it then, I guess its something I'll have to live with...
Apparently he doesn't know what he's talking about, or just unwilling to be helpful. Google peep sight verifier. I'd look for another archery shop. Most of them should have a sample of lenses to try, so you can order the right fit. This guy is clearly not very knowledgeable about them. He likely tried one once and it was blurry because it did not match his eye needs, so he concluded "clarifiers are no good". Most of them will be blurry. It's like picking up some else's glasses and expecting to see clearly with them. Doesnt typically happen. You have to get fit for you. BTW, you need to take your glasses off to use them effectively. he asked "do you keep both eyes open?" I said yes, I told him, "i almost see 2 pins when i try to focus" he then said "I do too I guess, I just know which one to use. a clarifier is like wearing cheater glasses, your pin will be clear, but your target will be fuzzy" so i'm not sure, maybe I'll run to the other archery shop and see what they say
I will say, up until about a week ago I only shot with one eye. But i started trying two eyes. I get the pin on target with one eye very clearly, then open up both eyes. The pin is much clearer to me through the verifier with one eye, and I can see the target pretty good too, but when i open both I lose a little bit of pin focus and gain target focus. That trade off has been working for me. You really need to experiment because everyone's eyes are different. It really depends on if your dominant eye has better or worse unaided vision than your undominant eye. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
