I'm headed to my buddy's ranch in West Texas tomorrow for a work weekend. We generally have two work weekends a year and that's our payment for our hunting priveleges. We'll find an hour and daylight and an hour at dusk to find some free ranging bacon... It's time for the Hoyt to do another victory dance. Here are some pics of the ranch and of what's happened in recent years I'm missing a lot of photo's... mainly of deer. But you get the idea.
Now bro, THAT looks like fun!! Hey, how do those overgrown rats (javelina) taste? I've never had one....
I'm not sure about the Javelina, but the wild pigs can be really good... or really bad. We have to go a bit further South or West to find the Javi's. I assure you, there will be a giant ice chest... it's very important to stay "hydrated" throughout the day. Oh, and of course the beer will be purchased in TEXAS. Well ya see... we were spotlighting one night and saw this very strange set of eyes and then we saw it had a fish tail. My buddy screams, "Don't shoot, it's a MERMAID!!!!!" Turns out it wasn't... it was just a big Land Gar. :d
Now that looks like a ton of fun. It would be fun to hunt wild hogs around here, but they can really tear up the woods.
Yes they tear stuff up, but I've kind of fun to have something to hunt all year long... If you could manage the population better, it would be awesome.
