I have a friend that lives an hour south of St Louis, he hunts the Mark Twain National Forrest. He has dozens of trail cam pics of them. He's tried hunting them w/o any luck. If he ever gets a good idea where they are hanging out, I'm going to hunt some piggys.

Im with ya. I wish IA had them, but farmers wont agree with me. Then again, I would like to plant black and Brown bears here in IA, along with pigs.

Yeah, I saw a little of that show. Apparently that one "monster" boar had several dogs under his belt. Sounded worse than the bear hunters' dogs that get injured around here.

I live in southwest missouri and the population of hogs is growing fast just 20 min from my house on the oklahoma side but I cant get permission from anyone to hunt them I have even tried to assure them it would be bow only. I guess they will have to suffer major property damage before they will ask for help.

Hog hunting is one of the funnest hunts I have been on. I have been to Texas and Oklahoma for a total of six trips in the past 6 years. I have hunted four places and each were fences and charged $300 to $600 for a two to four day hunt, with lodging.

There is no stopping their migration northward, in fact we have a couple isolated places here in Wisconsin and there are places in Washington that have them too. But, when it comes to farmers, they ain't letting anyone hunt. It does not matter, if it's for deer or turkey or hog. Hell it is their property and I don't say blame them with the way some people have treated them. In Wisconsin we have a couple programs that let hunters get some sort of tax break for crop damage and in return they are enrolled in a program that allows hunters to hunt. Funny thing is that most of them will deny being in the program unless you show them the list, and then they will always claim that there are already a number of hunters on the property, yeah right, their buddies maybe. I am looking forward to seeing them in areas that I can hunt them for free, maybe some state land perhaps.
