As some of you know, I am a firefighter for my local township. Recently, we had the biggest fire in department history. A local horse farms main barn caught on fire, and was roughly 35,000 square feet. I was at work and missed the main action, but ended up going on 2 flare up calls because of hay the next couple days. Sadly, and miraculously, only one horse died in the fire. My department has had pre-plans for this particular barn for many years, but by the time we go to it, the entire structure was involved with no chance of saving it.
Some of the nicest, most dedicated, least selfish people I know are fire fighters.Darn good of you to be involved! Tragedy about the barn.
I agree 100%... My cousin and my future brother in law are firefighters, and my grandpa is a retired Lieutenant for Cincinnati fire dept.. Firefighters don't get enough credit for what they actually do, not knowing if today at work one of their buddies or themselves won't be going home to their family. A female firefighter for our township just died a little while ago in an electrical fire. Stay safe Caleb, respect!
