Well, here she is, a 2009 BowTech Sentinel Birth Certificate says... Peak Draw Weight of 71.9lbs and 29" draw length.... 352 grain arrow at 320 f.p.s. Right now the bow has a Sword Apex Micro 3rd Plane sight, an 11.5" Octane Stabilizer, a Paradox braided wrist sling, and a Octane 1-piece quiver on it. I was going to put a VaporTrail LimbDriver rest on it, but I think that I am going to place an order for an Octane Hostage Pro rest as I have pretty much given up on shooting screen and paper shoots around here. I have a G5 Meta peep but I may check out some of the new peep sights including the StringSplitter before I install the G5. I havn't shot it yet, I plan on getting the rest and setting the bow up on Sunday, and hopefully can get some shooting in. I can say that after drawing the bow back... it is MUCH easier to draw than my 82nd Airborne, and it also seems to hold better. I'll update as I get her set-up and dialed in with more pics and stats.... as of right now I am VERY impressed, and I am starting to feel that I may have found a bow that actually passes my 2006 Old Glory as my favorite bow that I have ever owned.
Thanks Scott... I can't wait to beat up some TURKEY (something you need to do:p) as well as deer with it. :D
Thanks guys Tony, I am not sure what the wraps are, but I am using VaneTec vanes... they are alot like the Blazers but they seem to be more durable and stick to the arrows better. Well, I have decided to keep the Sword site, but I am not going to be using a VaporTrail Limb Driver rest... I am going with an Octane Hostage Pro... can't wait to get her all set up and dialed in!!!
Awesome! I just got a "new" toy in the other day as well. Once I figure out what all is going on it, I'll get pics up. A sentinel STILL might be in my future this season as well.
I bet you're gonna love her... every time a lot of us worked shooting booths in the old days, we'd always gravitate to shooting the Sentinel the most it seemed like.
Thanks Greg... last year when the 09's were released and everybody was talking about the Admiral and Captain... I figured that the Sentinel would be "where it's at" but I just wasn't sure it was worth spending the money over my 82nd.... I haven't even shot the Sentinel yet but after drawing it back several times, I can see myself enjoying just shooting a bow again... it holds so much better than any bow I have owned (even my 06 Old Glory which was a tack driving machine)!
Man you are in for a treat when you get that baby ready to rip. I knew I was gonna love mine, and I was still impressed. Bought it for a 3D/back up, and it just may end up starting.
