Season is closing fast and the itch is building. I have been going back through trail cam pics trying to see if any of the deer I have on camera this year showed up in previous years and these are just two that I have 3 years of history with...

It's pretty neat to see the growth between the years and how there is a big difference in growth spurts between the two bucks. Lets see some pics of deer that you have multiple years of history with.

Not owning property and never getting bucks on camera on public land I have to ask. How do you they are the same bucks? I see posts all the time that say this is the same buck and they often look different to me. I'd honestly like to know, I am not being a jerk.

Coop, it comes from watching the deer grow and having pictures of them throughout the year. Bully for example was showing a bad attitude even as a 1.5 year old. He would always posture up when around any other deer and would run off any buck that came near him. He kept that trait from 2011 to 2012. In 2012 he was pushing off a 4-1/2 year old giant 8 point I called Fieldgoal. In 2012 he also grew the brow tines that curved outwards. Spring of 2013 I found his left shed antler in a cut corn field (which my boxer has now claimed as her new chew toy) and he had broke all of his points except his browtine. This summer when he showed up the browtines gave him away instantly and after watching him on game camera pics and videos he is still showing his aggression and pushing deer away from him.

Wide 6 was easy to follow every year as he was the only buck on the property that had the wide/short rack shape. Each year his brows grow a little but his tines dont do much.

I have literally have more than 100,000 trail cam photos of bucks over the last 10 years and while I have a good amount of photos of bucks over a 2-3 year period, I have far more bucks that I only get on camera for one year.

    Kill Jason kill!

Scouted the northern section of TL today. Lots of deer sign near that inlet. Steep and rugged terrain. Found two solid well used deer trails. Back at it scouting next week. Just trying to get 6 to 8 spots I can jump around on given the wind. I only picked up one possible stand site today and I walked miles up and down that rocky hill of hell!

Thanks for sharing these pics. Bully was a fat guy even as a yearling. The stouted muzzle (1st pic) is the only tell on what otherwise looks like a 2.5 to 3 year old body. He's a hoss.

Thanks guys. If I find some time in the near future, I may actually go through and get a collection together of all the bucks over the years as they grow through the years.

Treestandsniper, his body looks bigger in that pic simply due to the cold front. I believe that was the first snow fall of the year (and I was actually in my treestand less than 5 yards from the camera when these pics were taken. He was the only deer I saw that morning (along with a bobcat about 10 minutes after he left).

Caleb, that tree is in such a perfect spot that there is hardly a week that goes by when I don't have a cam running on that tree. I have a few other spots on this property that I get some decent pics from, but none where I can get consistent photos.

Brett, I know that hillside all to well, lets just say that a buddies Honda 400 atv got beat up on one of the trails there. Sorry I haven't got back to you, been crazy busy but I will get ahold of you by Thursday night and give you some info and mark some spots on a map.
