I'm new to Sitka gear and looking to buy some new stuff later this week. I want wind proof gear so would recommend for archery hunting. I live in pa and archery season starts first week in oct-mid nov.

I hunt public by a lake and the wind can be pretty cold at times.

Stratus line in the early season and mid season I would go with the fanatic series.

You can get some good deals right now because the new line up is coming out mid year.

If you're just new to it, I'd wait until June when they release their new and improved line up. I have the Fanatic Jacket and Stratus pants. I love both of them except the material. The new Fanatic, due out in June, uses a berber fleece shell which should be ten fold better than their current stuff. Plus the new camo color, I think, looks much better and a lot less green.

Now, on the camo, I realize the pattern was developed for deer vision and not human, but I felt so out of place with it being so green. The deer never minded however... ;)
