Pick a date

I have one day left to use for bow hunting.
My options are Nov 1st, 4th or 8th.

Which one should I pick?

 

Thats a tough one Ryan, I would probablly pick the 4th.... simply because I believe hunting on a Thursday as apposed to a Monday means that the deer will have had a couple extra days without the insane pressure that they see on Saturdays.

 

I would go with the 8th...I really like Nov 7-10 for big buck movement

 

If you are on Public the 4th would be best as Buck Magnet stated, unless you have an idea where they will be when pressured.

I am a big fan of November 6th-10th hunting and the bigger bucks I have seen during that time period. So I will go with the 8th.

I like the 4th too, because its thursday like BM stated.. middle of the week, less knuckleheads in the woods and I know what kind of pressures you deal with.. But you wont need it, you will kill another big one on Halloween, oh wait you can run over to Ohio if that happens.. yeah the 4th!

 

I would go with the 4th for reasons mentioned above.

4th as it is also my wifes bday and ive had great success on this day.

 

do you have to choose now? Weather could be a huge factor, if you can wait til November to choose, I would. If I had to decide now I would go with the 8th. Assuming you hunt all weekend, you might have a pretty good game plan by Monday.

 

I'd pick the 8th If pressure wasn't a problem but In your case the 4th sounds the better choice.

 

Although very sound advice from Buckmagnet I like the 8th. Don't know if you can hunt on Sunday there, but the day or two after Saturday has been very good to me.
