    Trevor, What setting do you use most of the time while in the stand? and Aperture size, I am struggling getting images to center focus and blur the back drop but yet not over fuzz it. I would love to get some simple pointers.

    jakeratt, The art of depth of field can be tough at times to control. My camera is always in a manual setting, may it be full manual or aperture priority, my DSLR is controlled my myself! The blur can be achieved by focal range (more zoom helps increase blur) Aperture (lower aperture means less in focus example f2.8 less in focus than f8) or the lens used as well as distance from lens to your subject and your subject to the background. I use a variety of lenses, telephoto, wide angle, and prime lenses. Each photo I see in my mind has a place or purpose and I determine how I want others to view that photo based on my camera settings. Sometimes that is easier said than done. Keep practicing and let myself of others help you along the way.
