What products are you using to edit your photo or video media? I was looking at photoshop for my new dslr and pinnacle for my video but would like to hear the pros and cons of what everyone is using.

I use Photoshop CS 5.1 at home and CS4 at work along with Adobe Camera Raw. The pro is that it's the industry standard for photo editing. The downside? The price (albeit not for me with a substantial educator discount). I usually suggest Adobe Lightroom as an alternative to many non-professionals. It's MUCH more affordable than PS, and can handle all basic to moderate photo editing you need (all that 99% of the population needs). In fact, many photographers prefer it to PS for it's speed and efficiency.

I don't do much video editing, but I have experience in Premiere Pro and a little in FCP. It was a wash for me either way, but I would love to try Sony Vegas as I know many people love it. Good luck!
