Whats some of the software everyone is using to edit there photos. Just picked up a camera the other day so im looking for some software where you can do good work with it, but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure it out. post some examples of pics if you can to please.
Picmonkey.com I dont have any before and after pictures, but I could show you the final products. Here is a picture with a different form of black and white, it is more of your tans and browns. This picture I used a feature on there for sunrises and sunsets. The picture didnt look near as good before the filter. In this picture the second goose from the left got a head shot and it looked terrible and bloody. I ripped the head off before the picture and then photoshopped one back on him. All the editing is really simple. Pic Monkey explains what every feature does, plus it is free. I upgraded to the pro version, which is about $30 for a year subscription.
Alright thanks boof I will have to check it out. What's the difference between the free and pro version ?
Well for the first month that you sign up you get to use the Pro version for free. Anything that comes with the pro version is highlighted with a crown, so you can tell what different features there are. You can easily get by with the free version, it has a lot of features. But I take a lot of pictures, so I just went with the pro.
I like Corel Paintshop Pro Photo. It's way more powerful than most of the other "budget" photoshop knockoffs and has about as many tools as the real photoshop. I wasn't going to bother posting anything I had done but I guess I'll dig something up. I don't recall how much it cost but it was cheap for such a great program, my version is old and I've never had to buy a subscription or update it. I believe they have a free trial as well. I think it was like $70 and just downloaded it online. Here is a pic I took of an 8950 and transformed it into a magnum style 2+2 using nothing more than the original pic: Here's the original pic:
I use Light Room and on occasion Photoshop. But honestly, there are other options out there that will do what most people need for less money. Light Room is pretty nice to work with though and not terribly expensive, just not the cheapest either.
I use Lightroom exclusively. I have Photoshop but have never used it as the learning curve is pretty steep.
I recomend Lightroom. Very user friendly Adobe photo editing software. I too have Photoshop and am touching the surface with that program.
I don't have experience with lightroom but I use photoshop a lot (mostly for work). Its not the best for just touching up photos (it will still do it though). its mostly useful for manipulating images.
