I like to take a lot of selfies for the live from the stand thread so I ordered the external battery pack Matt mentioned above. It's gonna come in handy on those all day sits.

I wonder if you can use the Thermacell butane cartridges to run it. Or vice versa, whichever are cheaper.

I have a galaxy s3 and have a knock off mophie charging case. It'll charge the phone to about 40-50% from 0% but it works and it's easy to carry. No extra cables or connectors/adapters needed. Easily extends my battery life to all day and I do a good bit of reading on my phone.

I always start the day with phone fully charged & haven't had a problem in the past. You guys must be watching a lot of porn or something to be burning up your batteries so fast? (GRIN)!

LOL. I find that hunting in the boonies sometimes, the phone is constantly searching for service, which can come and go. That's when my battery gets drained.
I've been looking at backups for a while, but there are so many, I can't decide.

I just picked up 2 of these. one for me and one for my wife. i can normally go all day and still have power left over but in the woods when it starts looking for signal, my battery goes down quick. my wife on the other hand can kill her battery in a few hours. Now she won't have an excuse not to answer when she is at the store :D I should get em thursday and ill use em this weekend and let yall know how they do!

I have the cheapo $20 Energizer phone recharger. You put 4 AA batteries in it, comes w/ Iphone or microUSB connections. Works fine.

I thought this was going to be some kind of joke or making fun of phone chargers and people that use their phone while on stand. It wasn't.
    Y'all need to hunt while you're hunting:lol:

I ordered the one Last and Matt were suggesting. It seems to get good reviews.

YUP !!!!!!!!!!!! And it has proven to be a life saver.. LOL I can surf the web prior to light (1 hour) and play games when slow time, text buddies to see how they are doing, send pics, and listen to music (if I wanted to)... I have the yellow/Black one with 2 USB ports on the top. Charges up to 3 cell phones on a single charge.. Keep it in my hunting pack..

I was getting my tags renewed and there were 35 people in from to me.. Everyone was complaining about the wait and their cell phones were dying..LOL I had my charger and only 1/4 battery life.. I started playing Angry Birds and within 20 minutes, I was at FULL CHARGE and that was while playing !!!!! These things are awsome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen this before. I kind of forgot about it but when it comes out I will probably try and get one.

Hmm...I've held off on this purchase for a while now. I like the idea of of the Trent PowerPak in that it's great for being out in the elements, but I often don't have a pack with me, so portability in the field (smallest size possible) is what I would be looking for.

Yes, I use an Anker also. I got it for about $35 on Amazon earlier this year. It's awesome. In fact, I use it to charge my wind up radio or mp3 player speakers while camping too. It's one of the best investments I've made.

Always have been considering this as well. I'm thinking Ill get the Trent Powerpak Extreme. Its looks to be about the same price as others but it's much more durable.
