Just curious about what types of applications are available and preferences. Has anyone used Trimble Outdoors? http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/TrimbleOutdoors.aspx
Haven't used Trimble Outdoors but have back country navigator on my droid still playing with it and debating if I like it or not
I have a few that I use. I have an Iphone and my number one app is scoutlookweather. Its great it works with there website. my next one is motionx gps I use it when I go on runs or kayaking or in the woods scouting. Next is hunt cal. its a hunting calendar that I like to use. That is just a few I use.
The cabelas recon hunt is really cool. It gives weather, wind and has a gps. You can do waypoints as well as blood trailing. Very cool app.
I use my tracks when I scout I can mark points, statistics, and I can upload to google maps which I also use. For wind and weather I have the weather channel widget. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Weather channel app, also have the Cabelas Recon. Not real sure recon. Will try more this fall when in the woods.
I just downloaded Scoutlook the other day. It seems like it could be very useful. I also use weather apps and my camera w. photobucket for sharing my experiences.
Have an iPhone and i downloaded an app called treestands. supposedly if you stand by your treestand you can add the GPS location and input the ideal wind condition. When you get up to hunt just click a button and it will tell you which of your stands are best for the current wind at each stand. Not sure how it works as i haven't put my stands in yet
