About 10 miles away from my house in Northern NJ about 20000 pheasants escaped their cages last week during the snow storm. Farmers fields are covered in the birds. I dont know if the state is going to attempt to catch any of the birds, but what I do know is that pheasant hunting with a bow has never been easier!
I would think many wont make it. We have some pen raised birds. Ones we miss or get away dont last long. They dont know about yotes and hawks. Plus they dont know how to find food.
